Many people think of me as the guy that only listens to The Killers and Dashboard Confessional. They are my favroite bands but I listen to much more then them. Every week I’ll post the top 5 most played bands on my Last Fm account on here.
1. Andrew Dice Clay- He is the farthest thing from Music,but the joy of Last Fm besides being on XBOX is you can listen to whoever you want. When people say their favorite comedians the following will come up,Dane Cook,Jeff Dunham and his puppet or George Lopez. All of which with the exception of Dane Cook are pretty funny guys. Me being different always say Andrew Dice Clay. His attitude and style are nowhere to be found in comedians today and I love his Nursery Ryhmes.
2.The Kooks.- A great Indie rock band from the UK. They have the catchiest songs and everytime I hear Luke Pritchard’s voice I instantly get into a good mood. I love the album Konk and you should listen to songs like Love it All,Do You Wanna and Shine on.
3. The Rolling Stones.- I wish bands today had the swagga the Stones had in every one of their songs. I love the energy that Mick Jagger and the rest of the bands have in their songs. I am a little emo at the fact that they are not touring in 2010. Songs I recommend are Bitch,Miss You,Can’t you hear me Knocking,19th nervous breakdown and Under my Thumb.
4. Butch Walker.- I don’t understand why people don’t know him. He produced some very good emo/rock/pop punk albums for some pretty big bands and him solo is really good. If you decide to take my great word listen to his remake of Kanye West’s favorite song You Belong with Me. ALso I like the songs Pretty Pretty,My Way,Mixtape,Subarbia,Passed Your Place, Saw Your Car, Thought Of You.
5. The Killers- I got a Hot Fuss songbook for Christmas for my Guitar. I was pretty excited to get that gift and if you listen to their best album Hot Fuss you will see why. Songs like Jenny was a Friend of Mine,On Top,Believe Me Natalie and All These Things That I’ve Done and My personal favorites Somebody Told me and Mr. Brightside. Every Killers album is amazing but this album is simply the best.
For about the umpteenth time it has been reported that Allen Iverson is coming back to Philly. I love his style of play,but this time it doesn’t seem right. Personally I hate this deal and I have so many “Sixers” fans coming up to me saying how can you hate this deal Kyle? Here’s Why.
Q: Iverson’s so great for this team.
A: Wrong. Both Denver and Detroit got better when he left and didn’t play. He is a shell of his former self.
Q: He’s gonna lead us to the playoffs!
A: This may be the cause,but for me I say Eff the Playoffs. I’d rather see the Sixers get a talented pick in the Lottery, then being sweept by the Cavs or Magic. Then Stefanksi and crew will say, we made it to the Playoffs I think we are a good team and we will be stuck in years of getting 6th or 7th seeds in the playoffs.
Q: He will help our attendance.
A: For about 5 games,he will. Then the rest will depend on if the Sixers continue to crap the bed or not. If they won games instead of finding ways to lose attendance would be fine.
Q; He will help our young players.
A: Never. Luckily when Lou Williams comes back if he starts to act up. They can cut Iverson. The sixers have a young talented team and they don’t need a Cancer like Iverson being a Bad Influence to guys like Williams and Jru Holliday.
Q: You must have never watched a Basketball Game.
A: This question annoys me so much. Just because I don’t think Iverson is a good fit for this team does not mean I don’t know basketball. So many people are thinking he is going to be the night in shining armor and save the Sixers. He is not and he will never will be.
This move reminds me alot of the Terrell Owens to Buffalo deal. Both teams are desparate for attendance. Both players have tremendous skills. But with their attitutudes both of them will never win a Championship.
It feels so good to be back again. Between School,Homework,Me and My Amigo’s Polarizing Youtube Channel. I needed a break from writing and I feel like a new man. I will try to keep this thing going as long as you still read it. I appreciate everyone that has come up to me or the people assoicated with my sites saying how much they love this stuff. Highland Lost another Football Game, I am out of witty remarks.
On another note I am tired of Animal Rights Activists. You have a idea will this is probably heading and I hope all those people that say Michael Vick should be given the Death Penalty are Angels,cause of you probably needed a Second Chance at one point.
JVR stole my heart at the Flyers Game I was at on Tuesday Night and he is going to be a hell of a Player.
Brad Lidge breaks my heart everytime the Phillies send him out there,the same feeling I got whenever they had Tom Gordon saving a game.
Even though I love my Home Box Office there will never be a show as good as Seinfeld on TV again.From the Puffy Shirt to The Toupee and The Wedding Invitations. One of these days I’ll do a list of my favorite episodes at one point. Serenity Now!
Know this is a little late, but I feel that the students of Highland, Triton and Timber Creek had no voice in this policy. Also I read another blog from a friend of this site and it got me really pissed off. This person goes to Camden Catholic and has no idea what Highland feels like in the Middle of January. Her reason for the hoodie ban was because students were stealing milk. I know Highland is hood and all, but if that was the reason why not put a ban on Jeans then? Can’t kids hide Milk in their Jeans??
Also it’s hugely hypocritical that my School Highland constantly sells Tartan Sweatshirts and Flip Flops, but we can’t wear them. This is like that Life Skills teacher I had in Elementary School that told me smoking is bad which it is, but she was like a chimney. Also stated in these girls blog was be lucky that you can afford a hoodie. Really? We all know that one kid who has to wear a hoodie because he has clothes that he’d be embarrassed to wear. Or in some cases the hoodie is the only thing his family can afford and he can wear. Because of this great policy that kid is going to get picked on every day now for something he can’t control.
Also stated in this girls blog was suck it up and wear long sleeves. Again if she spent 2 minutes in Highland or any Black Horse Pike School you will realize even with long sleeve’s you feel like you’re in a fridge. What has wearing a Hoodie or Wearing Flip-Flops have done to anybody? Is it really causing that much harm to students that you had to change it? This is like when I was at Glen Landing when they would suspend a kid for having gum, but if they wrote hit lists they are allowed to return to school.
Fantastic Timing too,Kanye and Lady Gaga will be touring together this coming fall. I’m not bluffin with your muffin any person that pays 200$ to see Lady Gaga is an idiot. Kanye say what you want puts on a hell of a show and you never know what to expect.
This tour is going to do very poor in sales. Lady Gaga is a freak and is just awful,how she made it this far baffles my mind. Kanye even though his music is great,pissed of his entire fanbase by hurting Taylor Swift’s feelings.
He should have never left.Jeff Garcia has signed with the Eagles today again. This move shows how much the Eagles have “confidence” have in Kevin Kolb.
Personally I hate the VMA’s, because it’s all about Lady Gaga who sucked big time last night and Britney. But this time I’m changed my mind and it has to do with one Kanye West. Sure it may have been a dick move but I think what he did was great and made my night. Stop acting like you’re surprised about this, Kanye has had a history of doing this and he is a hell of a manipulator.
Kanye West is exactly what we need in music right now. A rockstar and someone who isn’t afraid to do stuff like that. So many of these bands right now especially the ones that are supposedly “rock” just want to Post on the Message Boards or Twitter to their fans. I thought being a rockstar was getting every girl you wanted, getting Benjamin’s and living the life. Not pretending like your life blows while wearing Tight Jeans.
Just the other day I heard someone say the Jonas Brothers are Rockstars. That person is a nitwit and a dope. The Jonas Brothers are the farthest thing from a Rockstar and is what is wrong with music. First off what “Rockstar” wears promise rings on the road? If I was a Jonas Brother I would be getting more ass than a toilet seat right now instead of worrying about my “fans”.
This is why I like guys like Brandon Flowers who had not nice words for Fall out Boy, Fred Durst of Limb Bizkit who is really the last “rockstar” and Kanye who is a smart guy and has great music, also Amy Whinehouse too. Also even though I dislike Lil Wayne he is a Rockstar and I wish guys like Hawthorne Heights or Linkin Park can stop crying about their parents and be Like Weezy and have fun with Every Girl in The World.
Taylor Swift may have had some teardrops on her guitar last night, but I don’t feel an ounce of sympathy for her. Everybody is saying on twitter and facebook how she is young and innocent-My Ass! She is even more famous now then she is yesterday and she is a millionaire. She will eventually recover. She will be on every show in America now just because a fellow millionaire was “bullying” her and they feel bad. I’ve never understood the whole hoopla with Taylor Swift. She has vocals as weak as Brittney Spears and all her songs have the same I love you but you don’t love me FML Fuck You theme to it. Beyonce-Single ladies should have won it and even the 12 year old girls who view Swift as Jesus knows that too. You Belong to Me didn’t have Justin Timberlake dancing or took over the nation like Single Ladies did.
